Baby Sevi's First Birthday Cake Smash ShootCheeky Cherub designed a horsey themed Cake Smash photo shoot for baby Sevi on his first birthday. I met Sevi and his mother Natalie at Baby Bright Stars where I take my little boy Bashjin for early learning classes. Sevi and Bash were just tiny stars when we met.It had been a while since I had last seen Sevi, so I was impressed with how he has grown and how his personality has developed. Sevastian also surprised us all that day by taking what seemed to be some of his first steps just before we started with his session. It was a very exciting moment for all of us!He had an instant interest in the little horse topper that we used on his cake. It was naturally the first thing to come off of the cake before he dipped his fingers into it. But the best part of all was when he began to smash the horse toy into the cake over and over again. I had to stop shooting in order to contain my laughter it was so cute. You are a wonderful little Cherub Sevi. Thanks to mom Nats and dad Sven for letting us capture this special time in your little boy's life. Related Tags: Baby Photographer Sandton
The Britz-van Heerden Family photo-shootRecently this stunning family joined Cheeky Cherub in the Maboneng precinct for their family photo-shoot. Vicky is a mother of two handsome young boys - AJ and Max. She had a City themed photo shoot in mind for her boys. We had the pleasure of having the boys Granny’s and grandpa join us for some pictures as well. The youngest boy, Max was a sleepy little man when he arrived for the photo-shoot. However after seeing his family having a great time he became more interested in joining us and posing for the camera. We were spoiled for choice with spots for creative photos in this arty location.Vicky spotted the brown Mercedes as we were walking to the car and we captured these shots of Max checking out the vintage old Merc in all of its glory. The fact that his brown corduroys matched the vehicle made these captures so much more effective and they are some of my favorites from this family photo-shoot, some of many. A shy little princess and a cake to smashBaby Ava celebrated her first birthday in June. Her mother, Sandra is a friend of ours from play group, so I am lucky to have been able to see Ava grow over the last few terms at Baby Bright Stars. Sandra asked us if we could do a "Smash Cake Shoot" for Ava, so naturally Cheeky Cherub wanted to make it extra special for her. We custom made the pink and gold girly fans for her backdrop and made her a beautiful cake to match the theme.Ava like most girls was very delicate and shy when faced with her cake. She needed a bit of encouragement to gain interest and even still the soft sponge and delicious layers of pink frosting did not peak her interest. Instead Ava found her excitement in some playing blocks she found in the room. Never the less, we just love how her custom designed "Smash Cake Shoot" turned out. Family Photography - Fathers Day Photo-booth
We recently invited parents to join this awesome aviation styled shoot for the fathers at Baby Bright Stars - Kyalami. We think it is just the best thing since beards and baby bumps.
The children were all so sweet and loved our little airplane props. Parents were enthusiastic too and came prepared with the nicest outfits to make our aviation settings stand out.
Thanks to Kerri-lee Webb at Baby Bright Stars for having us again.
Please leave your comments below and let us know what you think of this themed photo shoot?Related Tags: Family Photographer Sandton
I recently visited the Lockyer family’s beautiful home to capture some pics of them with their baby girl “Franki-Rose” at her 10 month milestone. It was so nice to spend time with such a sweet laid-back bunch and the lovely “Logan”, Franki’s older sister was a delight, showing me around the property and posing like such a natural star. What a great afternoon and cool collection from this session.
2017 Countdown Mini Session. Four lovely ladies joined us for a girls afternoon to have some friendly portraits done. It was so much fun to photograph this brilliantly hilarious group of women. They are all so beautiful too. What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon with the girls.
